Sing the ārōhaṇa-avarōhaṇa for ten seconds. We'll match your pitch trajectory against every catalogued raga and show the top guesses. Works best with sustained, in-scale tones — gamaka-heavy fast passages confuse the chroma matcher.

How this works

Each pitch frame is detected via YIN, then quantized to a scale-degree sequence using your saved Sa (261.6 Hz). A median filter smooths vibrato noise. We then run DTW (Dynamic Time Warping) against characteristic phrases of every raga — ārōhaṇa, avarōhaṇa, pakad, and real sancaras from the database. The match rewards both shape similarity and scale coverage — singing only Sa stays ambiguous because the rest of the scale is missing. Longer recording windows improve accuracy.
